2013 Mercedes CLS Shooting Break spied

The Mercedes CLS Shooting Break is scheduled to be launched later this year and our spies have caught a handful of prototypes wearing minimal camouflage.

Previewed by the Shooting Break concept, the production model looks virtually identical to the standard CLS but adopts a rear hatch for added cargo capacity. The overall design leaves something to be desired, but the car's key competitors - the Audi A7, BMW 5-Series GT and Porsche Panamera - aren't exactly a sight for sore eyes either.

Safety pioneer Mercedes-Benz has once again improved on the seat belt – the safest feature in any vehicle today. This time focusing their attention on the rear seats, Mercedes-Benz engineers have put together a new feature that will go into series production in one of Mercedes’ luxury model.

Mercedes brought out the C-Class in 1993 as a replacement for the old 190E and since then, it has sprouted three generations and has become the most important model in the company’s line-up. To keep the momentum going, Mercedes is working on the fourth generation C-Class (internally called the BR205), which was recently spotted during its first winter testing. These clear images show off the luxury sedan set to be released in 2014.

The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which is due to arrive in 2014, looks set to be so stunningly attractive that motorists may go weak at the knees and pass out.

At one of the big motorshows in 2012, Mercedes Benz is likely to show the facelift of the E-Class (codename – W212) as 2012 marks the mid-life stage for the car launched back in 2009. The Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG and its bi-turbo V8 engine is the ultimate sophisticated muscle car. The noise when it first starts up is glorious and thoroughly amazing, as turbochargers usually have a habit of muffling even the loudest engines. Its engine is an incentive to run the 4-door coupe in its "eco" mode, because the car shuts itself off at every stoplight, and then restarts as soon as you move off — with another opportunity to hear that V8 roar. The CLS63 AMG may only get 16 mpg. It may be a little somber and slightly cramped inside. It may have just too much technology, with all those lane-drift warnings, following-distance warnings, sleepy-driver alerts and blind-spot warning lights. But I can forgive this car almost anything because of that engine and that wonderful noise

Mercedes-Benz has showcased their ML Class, the auto giant’s latest model SUV, along with the winner of the Dunlop Dubai 24-hour race SLS AMG GT3 at its sprawling pavilion at the Qatar Motor Show at the Doha Exhibitions Centre.

While describing Qatar as one of its strongest market in the Middle East and North African region, the company officials felt they have turned the dream of many automobile buffs into reality with the introduction of such vehicles at the show.
SLS AMG, which they said is the first customer sports car in Mercedes Benz history is based on AMG’s own first development – the SLS AMG, a milestone and the starting signal for a new era in customer sports.
“In the ML Class, Mercedes-Benz has brought together unparalleled standards in performance, appearance, safety and fuel efficiency,” said Khaled Shaa’ban, general manager, Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, who are country distributors of the Mercedes-Benz.
