The Mercedes CLS Shooting Break is scheduled to be launched later this year and our spies have caught a handful of prototypes wearing minimal camouflage.
Previewed by the Shooting Break concept, the production model looks virtually identical to the standard CLS but adopts a rear hatch for added cargo capacity. The overall design leaves something to be desired, but the car's key competitors - the Audi A7, BMW 5-Series GT and Porsche Panamera - aren't exactly a sight for sore eyes either.
Mercedes brought out the C-Class in 1993 as a replacement for the old 190E and since then, it has sprouted three generations and has become the most important model in the company’s line-up. To keep the momentum going, Mercedes is working on the fourth generation C-Class (internally called the BR205), which was recently spotted during its first winter testing. These clear images show off the luxury sedan set to be released in 2014.
At one of the big motorshows in 2012, Mercedes Benz is likely to show the facelift of the E-Class (codename – W212) as 2012 marks the mid-life stage for the car launched back in 2009. As shown in this sketch by BILD, headlights bordered by a LED strip, modified fog lights and airdam freshen up the car’s face.
